Pay per click is widely used because it is known to play an important role in a business. For businesses and companies, it is wise to familiarize pay per click and its roles so that this strategy can be optimized.

There are three main roles that can be assumed by internet advertising initiative. The list will include PPC’s role in the campaign and issue-based traffic, in direct-response business and its role in niche terms.

Pay per click’s role in campaign and issue-based traffic is in making a buzz on a new product or a service that the business is offering.

This can be done because pay per click can be initiated quickly, thus this can be a good tool in promoting that new product. Pay per click can also be easily adjusted and revised according to how your campaign would fit to your objectives. In this way, the focus of your campaign can be easily changed.

Pay per click also plays a big role in generating direct responses from consumers for your online business. If you have an online store displaying your products and services, pay per click is indeed one of the most recommended strategies to use.

In an online business, a click generated by a PPC campaign would surely bring in greater chances of sales as the number of potential customers also increases. Thus, pay per click is a good investment. However, it should also be carefully noted that cost also increases as the number of clicks increases.

And finally the role of PPC advertising campaign can be in niche terms. If you are focusing on getting good traffic on a very specific keyword phrase, then this form of advertising will greatly help.

This make sense if you cannot pay for the top bid on the keyword ‘tennis shoes’, but you have the budget for ‘male tennis shoes’ which is cheaper and give you more chances of landing in the first few top pages.

These are just some of the important roles of pay per click in online marketing. It is advisable though to focus on conversions when using this initiative and not just on initial results of high traffic.
